Abrasive Saw Cutting and Shearing
Rome's dual head abrasive saw measures 16' X 60' and can cut plates up to 14" thick.
Powered by 75 HP motors, our abrasive saw can cut in two directions without moving the plate and is serviced by an overhead crane with a 35 ton capacity.
We love to take on the toughest, most specialized jobs.
We cut solid titanium plates 150" wide by 255" long to a tolerance of plus 1/16", minus 0".
Shearing of large plates is done at Rome's Monaca facility.
Our Cincinnati Shear can handle plates up to .750" thick x 380" long, depending upon alloy composition.
Its open throat design allows us to shear a variety of width dimensions.
